I'm Alena, an architectural artist + illustrator working out of my home studio near Portland, Oregon. I love to create stylized architectural architectural illustrations of homes, churches, wedding venues, and storefronts.

My illustration studio began from my love of architecture + illustration. I was lucky to do most of my growing up in Montana, where I went to college and earned a master's degree in Architecture. I've always enjoyed drawing and painting, and my architectural background has since inspired me to create architectural illustrations.

My custom portraits are illustrated in a colorful stylized character that captures the beauty of each home in a delightful way. I create each drawing by hand and without any computer or digital aids, so each illustration is unique, personal, and made with care and love. My illustration techniques are inspired by abstract and mid-century modern styles, and I am to convey artistic representations which focus on architectural features, color, and texture. I use one of my favorite mediums--colored pencils--to create these unique stylized portraits. As a mother of three little girls, I love having a creative outlet to produce meaningful pieces of art that capture memories.
